The successful candidates will coordinate and work with fix agents to access and exit the network elements. Will be responsible for approval of or denying access, verifying the status of the various elements pre and post maintenance activities, ticketing, and follow-up as needed.
Position requires support for Network along with manual work that will be required to effectively manage newly deployed network equipment. Individual will also provide technical support via phone and IM to field technicians who are working to resolve cell site outages and impairments. Manage tickets in ticketing system to ensure notes are kept up to date and problems are pushed to resolution.
Escalate and engaged needed resources to resolve issues.
This is a 24x7 Tier 1/Tier 2 Support for the network. Primary shift will be nights. 7PM to 7AM.
Successful candidate will have the ability to Multitask, strong work ethic and excellent communications skills along with being flexible. This environment consist of varied shifts including nights and weekends. Individual must take a logical and orderly approach to analyzing problems, organizing work and planning actions. Ability to span departments to assist in resolving network event outages
Basic Telecommunications and wireless knowledge preferred, along with experience working on Samsung, Ericsson/Nortel and/or Alcatel Lucent equipment.
Unix skills strongly desired.
IP network knowledge. Switch, router, hub skills.
